Rowan McCune is an undergraduate sophomore studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Within the HI-SNR lab, Rowan works to advance radar-based cutting-edge snowpack stratigraphy mapping methods, with the ultimate goal of creating a avalanche prediction tool. Rowan also aids in refining the Open Source Radar Architecture (ORCA) codebase and documentation, with the goal of helping to create an easy-to-use SDR setup resource for other researchers. Outside of the lab, Rowan is a proud AFROTC cadet, Norlin Scholar, Newton Fellow, and tinkerer. Being a seasoned powerlifter and an aspiring triathlon athlete, as well as an amateur drummer, outdoor enthusiast, and pilot-in-training at Western Air Flight Academy, he strives to experience life to the fullest - exploring all of his interests along the way.
